About The Position

The Android Developer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale applications for prominent clients. The work is onsite; telecommuting and remote positions are not offered. Candidates must be willing to relocate to different cities or states for client assignments, which typically last 6 to 18 months and may be extended. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and is offered as W-2 employment or a 1099 contract. Compensation is described as competitive and dependent on experience, with a stated range of $60,000–$85,000 or $30–$40 per hour. Paid relocation and regular salary reviews are also offered.

Requirements

At least 1–2 years of experience as an Android developer.
Strong understanding of MVC or MVVM software architectural patterns.
At least one year of experience with Java and Kotlin.
At least one application published on the Play Store.
Familiarity with the Android SDK, different Android versions, and adapting to different screen sizes.
Experience with testing frameworks such as Espresso and JUnit.
Knowledge of mobile data storage using SQLite and Room.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs for back-end integration.
Comfort with Git, SVN, and source control.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong work ethic and self-leadership skills.
Willingness to relocate to new cities or states for client assignments, typically lasting 6 to 18 months, with possible extensions.
