Analytics Business Partner

Cribl
•$190,000 - $255,000•Remote

About The Position

Cribl is hiring an Analytics Business Partner to help its transition from a flagship-product company to a multi-product business. The role addresses non-routine events—such as acquisitions, product launches, and go-to-market changes—that affect the company’s data, definitions, systems, and reporting. The successful candidate translates these events into solutions that connect new products or customers to existing data and reporting, clarify how value is attributed, and define how outcomes will be tracked going forward. Reporting to the VP of Data & Analytics within Business Operations, this role works horizontally across the business rather than being embedded in a single function. It partners with cross-functional teams to diagnose issues and drive system, process, policy, or data-model changes to completion. The role also coordinates work across Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, and Data Governance, and establishes and runs a Business Intelligence Council to align leaders on measures, definitions, and priorities. Cribl is remote-first, with work spanning multiple time zones. The role may occasionally require duties outside standard working hours. The position offers a base salary range of $190,000–$255,000 USD, dependent on geographic location and the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Eligible employees in this non-sales role may participate in the Cribl Corporate Bonus Program.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in management consulting, in-house strategy, business operations, or business analytics.
  • A track record of working in unfamiliar functions and reframing ambiguously posed questions.
  • Fluency across GTM, Finance, Product, and other functions, including the ability to reconcile differing definitions of business concepts such as “customer.”
  • Ability to join multiple tables, write a CTE, and get the aggregation grain right to answer questions; hands-on query and dashboard work is not the primary responsibility.
  • Ability to distinguish whether a reporting issue stems from a system that is not capturing the right data, an unowned process, or a data model that no longer matches the business.
  • Ability to adapt communication style for executives and operational teams and drive solutions with both audiences.
  • Firsthand experience ensuring a business’s data and reporting keep up following an acquisition or new product launch, including designing and driving the solution.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a post-close M&A integration, a new product introduction, or a go-to-market model change.
  • Experience in a late-stage B2B SaaS startup (Series E or later) or an early public B2B SaaS company (for example, 3,000–5,000 employees).

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose non-routine business events that do not fit current tracking or reporting, define an appropriate solution, and serve as the directly responsible individual for coordinating cross-functional delivery.
  • Own and drive the integration of acquired companies’ products and customers into Cribl’s existing data and reporting models, enabling the business to capture acquisition impact after deal close.
  • For new product launches, understand Product’s success metrics and ensure data models, definitions, and reporting can track those metrics after launch.
  • Sequence and coordinate work across Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, and Data Governance; manage handoffs and identify duplication or gaps.
  • Establish and run the Business Intelligence Council, aligning cross-functional leaders on key measures, attributes, hierarchy definitions, and prioritization, and driving issues to resolution.
  • Maintain a working understanding of how GTM, Finance, Product, and other functions operate, and engage the right stakeholders before projects are scoped or underway.
