About The Position

AIG is seeking an Analyst in the Underwriting - Construction department to help reimagine how customers manage risk. This role offers opportunities to learn and grow skills and experience as a valued member of the team. AIG's Specialty Construction business assists clients in managing risks associated with complex construction and infrastructure projects, providing tailored insurance solutions. The Analyst will work alongside underwriters, risk engineers, claims professionals, and multinational specialists to deliver innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves combining technical expertise, proactive risk management, responsive claims support, and global capabilities to help clients build with confidence and protect their people, assets, and long-term investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be received no later than June 2027 (unofficial transcript required upon application).
  • Available to start the Program on July 26, 2027.
  • Analyst positions are in-person opportunities, requiring employees to work in the office at least four days per week.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in construction, infrastructure, commercial insurance, or risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the evaluation and underwriting of risks associated with commercial construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Review project information, financial data, loss history, and other exposures to support risk selection, pricing, and coverage decisions.
  • Partner with underwriters, risk engineers, claims professionals, and other specialists to develop tailored insurance solutions.
  • Build relationships with brokers and clients while supporting new business and renewal opportunities.
  • Assist in evaluating changing exposures throughout the project lifecycle and identifying potential risk-management considerations.
  • Develop knowledge of construction insurance, industry trends, and emerging risks while building core underwriting skills.
