About The Position

The Analyst, Strategic Partnership Management, is responsible for supporting the Director, Strategic Partnership Management in operationalizing and executing the Loblaw / EQ Bank strategic partnership and Payments Networks governance functions on a day-to-day basis. This role provides analytical, coordination, and administrative support across the full scope of the Strategic Partnership Management (SPM) function, helping ensure the governance framework operates efficiently and that executive reporting is accurate and delivered on time. The Analyst supports the preparation of governance and reporting materials for executive-level committees, tracks partnership performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), monitors the progress of strategic initiatives and helps identify and flag risks, issues and dependencies in a timely manner. The role also contributes to the annual planning process by gathering and consolidating inputs from cross-functional teams. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of internal Loblaw stakeholders, external EQ Bank and Payments Network contacts. The Analyst plays an important enabling role within the SPM function, ensuring the Director has the information and materials needed to support effective decision-making and partnership execution.

Requirements

  • Experience in program or project governance, project coordination, or a similar role supporting complex initiatives or partnerships.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare clear, well-structured reports and presentations for senior audiences; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining quality and timely delivery.

  • Experience working in a cross-functional or matrixed environment is an asset
  • Familiarity with payments, digital commerce, financial services or loyalty programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day governance for the Loblaw / EQ Bank strategic partnership and Payments Network relationships, including Visa, Mastercard and Global Payments.
  • Prepare clear governance and executive reporting materials, including business reviews, committee decks, status updates and performance reporting.
  • Track KPIs, shared objectives, actions, decisions, milestones, contractual commitments and key deliverables; identify and flag risks, issues and dependencies to the Director.
  • Coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams and support governance meetings through scheduling, agenda preparation, material distribution and follow-up.
  • Support partnership planning and execution by monitoring growth and transformation roadmaps, Transition Service Agreement obligations, decommissioning plans and other partnership commitments.
  • Assist with financial and billing oversight, contract governance, regulatory change tracking, risk management, audits and compliance reviews in partnership with Legal, Risk and Compliance teams.
  • Maintain accurate governance documentation and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and consistency of reporting and tracking processes.
