About The Position

AMC Global Media is seeking an Analyst, Spec Adherence to join its Media Operations & Engineering team in New York, NY. The role supports media quality and specification adherence by coordinating with QC, Acquisitions, Media Prep, and Supply Chain teams; evaluating QC reports and media assets; tracking corrections and redeliveries; and deciding whether assets should be accepted or rejected. The position requires accuracy, sound judgment, collaboration, and knowledge of media distribution formats and specifications.

Requirements

At least 3 years of media linear broadcast or non-linear distribution experience.
Bachelor’s degree in communications or media.
Proven success evaluating media assets.
Ability to incorporate new tools and best practices for a media team.
Collaborative approach and problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of media industry terminology, file types, codecs, and collateral types.
Experience with screening tools such as GLIM or Media Central.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Office suite and Copilot skills.
Quality Control experience in the media landscape.

Responsibilities

Liaise with QC, Acquisitions, and Media Prep teams to ensure best practices are used across teams.
Report, track, troubleshoot, and escalate media evaluation patterns and newly identified rejection or acceptance criteria.
Work with the QC team to clarify reported issues and make informed decisions.
Track and confirm that redelivered or fixed files following initial evaluation failures are received and address the original concerns.
Evaluate high volumes of QC reports accurately and with good judgment.
Accept or reject media assets based on QC report evaluation and specification adherence.
Request supplier redeliveries or file conformance and collateral repairs from the Media Prep or Supply Chain teams as required.
