Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Minimum 1-year experience, preferably in customer service, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, supply chain, inside sales and/or transportation
  • Basic data entry/10-key skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of office administration and procedures
  • Excellent customer service, presentation, and active listening skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments within the organization
  • Maintain calm demeanor and positive, professional attitude in a fast paced, “high stress” environment
  • Detailed oriented and organized
  • Must have proactive outreach, analytical/problem solving skills, and self-motivation
  • Comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks and projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful and flexible with both internal and external customers
  • Technical aptitude for working with various financial - e.g., AS400, J.D. Edwards, software, and workforce management platforms
  • Ability to make solid business decisions and champion solutions as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus
  • Experience with credits, customer service, transportation systems, bills of ladings, proof of deliveries, DSD’s, shortages, and damages is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Providing non-selling activity support to the Inside Sales team and independent retailers throughout the country.
  • Working closely with Customer Care and Operations, amongst other internal areas, to cross-functionally communicate and troubleshoot to resolve issues.
  • Delivering first class service to all internal and external customers; proactively and reactively follow up on, resolve and respond to inquiries; and maintain a positive and high-level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Identifying areas of improvement within the non-selling processes that affect the Inside Sales team and their book of business, to improve customer satisfaction and a more efficient customer experience.
  • Engage regularly with customers and Inside Sales Specialists to resolve issues involving non-selling activities, while building positive relationships and identifying customer needs.
  • Identify foreseeable issues and proactively engage as needed.
  • Ensure a trouble-free process.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and quality.
  • Educate customers and provide access to tools that will aid them in visibility and resolution of issues.
