About The Position

We are looking for an Analyst - DC Retirement Consulting to join our team in our Toronto office! As an Analyst - DC Retirement Consulting you will be responsible for assisting the Retirement Consultants with all client management requirements, with a focus on retention of the assigned book of business and support with business development activities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, finance, business or a related field;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent technical skills working with Microsoft 365, particularly MS Excel (including VBA);
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail quality
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a client-oriented, hard-working, high-performing, and fun team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the DC retirement space (DC consulting and/or DC provider client service experience) considered a asset.
  • Education or interest in developing investment knowledge considered a strong asset.
  • Knowledge and ability to use an investment monitoring tool such as e-Vestment or Morningstar is considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Teaming up with our Consultants to support our clients with day-to-day servicing and administrative support of their DC retirement program
  • Perform analytical work (statistics, graphs) in preparation for client reports, to help develop key observations and recommendations to optimize plan performance.
  • Play a technical role in supporting consultants in all aspects of DC consulting: plan design, investments, provider search and implementation, member engagement, plan oversight and governance, ongoing plan optimization.
  • Preparation of DC retirement program monitoring reports, marketing, prospecting, and other related DC retirement client reports
  • Support researching and reviewing investment options; prepare performance summaries and comparative analyses, as appropriate.
  • Periodically attend client meetings, when relevant and for learning opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of pension legislation, CRA (fiscal) rules, DC industry developments and retirement plan management best practices;
  • Help in developing strategic recommendations for clients and participate in the development of new business;
  • Provide support and assistance to the Client Service Manager or Analyst team
  • Follow corporate policies and procedures
  • Take the initiative in the development of internal processes and tools;
  • Manage the quality and timeliness of client deliverables;
  • Assist in keeping the internal database and tracker up-to-date;
  • Maintain and develop internal technical knowledge;
  • Develop and promote our company as a key player in the market with excellent knowledge of the industry;
  • Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.
