As a Analyst Quality Engineer, you’ll be part of our Manufacturing Operations team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to support and comply with SFS objectives and projects, assist Engineering in defining and maintaining all specs (Raw, in-process and Finished Goods), and be responsible for communicating quality standards to manufacturing and quality auditors. You will also assist with the development of D&I&M FMEA for all processes, perform PPAPs SQA-015 Quality Book, and define, establish, implement, train and monitor quality plans for incoming inspection, in process inspections, and finished goods inspections. This includes test equipment, gages, inspection procedures, frequency of inspections, forms, records, boundary samples, masters, and visual aids. You will be responsible for performing all measurement systems analysis (MSAs), coordinating and communicating all quality issues to appropriate personnel and assisting in establishing countermeasures, and managing day-to-day quality issues on the production floor. You will maintain the quality standards of parts produced in the area, including watching quality indicators, instilling a quality-minded attitude, working with the Value Stream on specific problem areas, and paying attention to scrap/rework figures. You will be responsible for maintaining IMDS, monitoring and developing supplier quality, leading sorting activities, disposition of suspect product, and improving First Pass-Defective Parts per Million and Scrap % metrics. You will drive root cause corrective action on identified issues (customer complaints, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and management systems) and adhere to all ISO requirements, overseeing ISO9000 paperwork. Additionally, you will assist in management of departmental spending by monitoring spending reports and identifying spending reduction opportunities, and understand and follow the Jackson site’s environmental policy.
