About The Position

The Quality Analyst Engineer I works with a development team to write and execute test cases based on requirements from the product team and report test execution status throughout the process. The role calls for creative thinking about application usage and ways to ensure that end users receive the expected experience. This position is in IT Development and is remote.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
Experience writing test cases, performing manual testing, and conducting exploratory testing.
Basic experience with automated test scripting and monitoring testing.
Familiarity with SQL testing and Agile software development processes.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to reason intuitively, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve routine and complex problems.
Excellent computer and organizational skills.
If travel is required, a valid driver's license, acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance are required when driving for work.

Nice To Haves

ASTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level.
Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GCP, Azure, or OpenShift.
Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Experience with SDLC tools such as Jira, TFS, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
Participate in product design reviews and provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
Analyze data to identify or resolve operational problems.
Write, execute, and monitor automated testing suites.
Perform exploratory testing for the application under test.
Report on the status of test execution throughout the process.
