About The Position

Join a dynamic and diverse team responsible for maintenance and enhancements to the Department of Revenue / Division of Child Support Enforcement’s Information System (ACSESS), and development projects. This is a small, collaborative team working closely on a variety of technologies with many opportunities for cross-training and professional growth. Creating new features and enhancements to existing applications. Providing on-call operational support after hours. Your work will ensure support is collected and federal and department goals and objectives are met, effectively and efficiently. CSED’s Systems Team is a dynamic development environment. This team is a diverse, technically self-motivated group that embraces the latest technology and develops and maintains leading-edge applications for the division.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of procedures to ensure production or delivery of products and services, including tools and mechanisms for distributing new or enhanced software
  • Uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one’s knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary.
  • Knowledge of computer languages and their applications to enable a system to perform specific functions
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods for planning or managing the implementation, update, or integration of information systems component
  • Knowledge of computer network, desktop, and mainframe operating systems and their applications
  • Successful completion of nine (9) semester hours of college-level coursework in computer languages or system analysis.
  • Three months of actual computer programming experience.
  • One year of work experience using a computer for analysis, including experience in the use of computer reporting languages, spreadsheets, or statistical packages.
  • One year of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language.
  • One year of the experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer system user support specialty.
  • Two years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language.
  • One year of this experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty.
  • Four years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language.
  • One year of this experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty.

  • A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for all of the required experience.
  • An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience.
  • A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for one year of the required experience.
