About The Position

The Analyst Program is a conversion opportunity for Truist interns, focusing on Commercial Real Estate Corporate Banking. The role involves financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit structure recommendations for Commercial Real Estate clients and prospects. Key responsibilities include prudent underwriting, adherence to credit policy, financial modeling, risk evaluation, portfolio maintenance, data integrity, portfolio reporting, and client support. Analysts will collaborate with deal teams to maintain data integrity and identify credit-worthy projects. The role also requires supplementing credit analysis with portfolio data, research, and property-level evaluations to assess various risks and trends. Requirements

Completed BA/BS degree with a scheduled graduation date of December 2026 through June 2027
Overall GPA of 3.0
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven analytical ability and attention to detail.
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of credit principles.
Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment.
Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program.

Nice To Haves

Real Estate, Business, Accounting, Math, Economics and Finance majors or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Masters in Real Estate, or combined Commercial Real Estate experience through internships and other experiences.
1-3 years of portfolio management and client relationship experience preferably in Commercial Real Estate related industries.
Foundational knowledge of ARGUS software; high level Excel and database analysis tools, including knowledge in the use of 3rd party Real Estate Data Sources (CoStar, REIS, Axiometrics).
Familiarity with loan documentation, covenants, Corporate Accounting and financial statement reporting including analysis of financial statements.
Completion of commercial associate program or equivalent experience; or MBA in Accounting or Finance or in related field; or an equivalent combination of educational and experience or other related advanced degree.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the financial analysis, risk assessment and credit structure recommendation for Commercial Real Estate clients and prospects.
Prudent underwriting and effective credit and risk administration with particular emphasis on adherence to credit policy and requirements.
Financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, on-going portfolio maintenance activities, data integrity, portfolio reporting and client support.
Collaborate with deal team to maintain data integrity on existing portfolio and identify credit worthy projects within targeted markets.
Supplement credit analysis with portfolio data, research, and property level evaluation from a wide variety of internal and external sources to develop an assessment of client, competitor, property segment, market and industry risks and trends.
