The Financial Analyst II role is responsible for supporting Senior Management by providing analytical and research support for the budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and management reporting functions of the Company. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline required.
  • 3+ years related experience.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in variance analysis, financial budgeting/forecasting and presentations is preferred.
  • The successful incumbent must be a team player that is capable of thriving in a fast-paced transactional environment.
  • He/she must be an inquisitive, business-oriented self-starter who enjoys project work, can multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
  • High-level analytical and quantitative skills are necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with high level of maturity combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.
  • The incumbent must also be organized, focused and articulate, with the ability to confidently interact with senior management.
  • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the annual budget and forecast process by participating in strategic planning sessions with senior management, projecting operational and financial performance, analyzing key strategic initiatives, quantifying the economic impact and capital requirements to fund organic growth and strategic initiatives, and preparing presentations to Senior Management.
  • Maintain business performance forecast and related inputs (e.g. updated contracting schedules, changes in expected expenditures) and perform ad-hoc analysis as requested to provide support to business segment leadership in execution of financial plan.
  • Prepare detailed variance analysis that benchmarks performance against budgets and forecasts and identifies potential areas for improvement.
  • Creating presentations as required in support of Senior Management, related to reviews of financial and operational performance, Board Meetings, employee meetings, etc.
  • Review metrics to measure operational and financial performance and identify key drivers for the business segment.
  • Work and communicate with various internal groups, including commercial, operations, corporate development, information technology, accounting, financial reporting and corporate financial planning & analysis.
  • Assist with identifying process improvements, implementing changes and ensuring best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
