About The Position

George Weston Limited (GWL) is seeking candidates for its rotation-based CPA Program. This program offers participants the chance to work in multiple diverse businesses within GWL, gaining broad business exposure and developing technical skills and business knowledge under the guidance of experienced accounting professionals. CPA Candidates will gain exposure to various finance functions, including Financial Reporting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Controls, Risk Advisory, and Tax. They will have the opportunity to work in different business units such as George Weston Limited, Loblaw Companies Limited, Choice Properties REIT, and Holt Renfrew.

Requirements

  • The academic prerequisites for admission to the new CPA Professional Program
  • A minimum overall average (75% or greater) in the courses comprising the academic prerequisites with a passing grade in each course
  • The ability to commence full-time employment in Canada as of August 31, 2027

  • Perform amongst a variety of teams and develop new skillsets and sources of knowledge
  • Learn and grow as you demonstrate leadership and make connections across our group of companies
  • Gain exposure to multiple finance functions, all of which contribute to professional development, business knowledge, and the practical work experience required for becoming a CPA
  • Gain experience in a variety of professional departments, which can include (but are not limited to): Financial Reporting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Controls, Risk Advisory, Tax
  • Work in one of our diverse businesses, with the opportunity to gain experience in a second area including: George Weston Limited, Loblaw Companies Limited, Choice Properties REIT, Holt Renfrew
