About The Position

Remote Tax Manager needed at a modern accounting firm to deliver advisory and tax services with a concierge-level service. The role involves leading tax engagements, serving as a trusted advisor, and building strong client relationships. The Tax Manager will work with a diverse client base, including rapidly growing businesses, entrepreneurs, and family offices, ensuring their financial success through regular communication and expert guidance. The firm is fully paperless and utilizes best-of-breed technology, with no time tracking required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Tax
• CPA or CPA candidate (REQUIRED)
• 6+ years (minimum) working in public accounting (REQUIRED)
• Experience working in a client-facing role, communicating with business leaders via email, phone, and video calls
• Tech-forward; ability to learn new software and comfortable using technology in general
• Independent worker
• Ability to coach and train associates

Nice To Haves

• Experience using CCH Axcess
• Experience using SafeSend Suite
• Prior experience working with small to medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, startups, family offices, and individual owners

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality tax compliance and consulting services to a growing client base
• Managing the preparation and delivery of quarterly tax projections and ad hoc client requests
• Facilitating and managing the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns and the accurate, timely submission of all tax filings
• Finding and implementing opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures
• Delighting our customers with expert guidance and support
• Available to work between the normal business day (ex. 9am to 5pm) to be responsive to client requests.
