About The Position

The Capital Markets Transformation team supports Capital Markets by working closely with business partners across the Front Office as well as functional teams to help enable change by executing business-driven transformation. This role is strategically important in supporting business transformation and ensuring regulatory compliance, ultimately contributing to the long-term success of RBC Capital Markets. This role will support the broader strategic goals of the Capital Markets Transformation team by providing critical assistance with project execution, enabling senior team members to focus on high-level strategic planning and decision-making. We are looking for an eager and high-performing individual to work on regulatory and strategic projects within our group, with a focus on delivering impactful business outcomes. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to business transformation initiatives, build foundational skills, and contribute to impactful projects in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate university degree in Business, Finance or a related field required
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience or internship/co-op experience in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to build relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • An understanding of Capital Markets or interest in developing knowledge in the financial industry
  • Exposure to project management methodologies or tools is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing relationships within the Business, Functions, and across RBC segments by supporting senior team members
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support the development of project schedules, deliverables, and milestones
  • Create and maintain core project artefacts, meeting minutes, reports, and status updates as directed
  • Help prepare presentation materials to communicate project progress for key stakeholders and management
  • Conduct data entry, analysis, and verification tasks to support project execution
  • Support administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, tracking action items, and maintaining project documentation
