AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System Technician
About The Position

Amentum is seeking a AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System Technician to support efforts in Newport News, VA. This is a full-time position and will allow you to continue providing hands-on support to some of the most sophisticated equipment the navy has.
Requirements
- Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
- US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
- High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of practical experience OR degree/formal training and three (3) years experience. (Degree/Formal Training is defined as: Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.)
- Ability to pass Submarine Embarkation Medical screening.
- Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, repairing networking equipment and Windows servers and workstations.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities
- Assist with test and evaluation; perform validations/verifications of AN/BYG-1 systems
- Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
- Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
- Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
- Interface directly with the on-site customer for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
- Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts
