About The Position
The Technology Manager supports day-to-day reliability and performance of the enterprise data network, focusing on execution, team-level leadership, and operational stability. The role partners with senior leaders to deliver secure and resilient connectivity across environments and contributes to automation and process improvement initiatives. This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include contributing to a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback and hands on career development.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in network operations or infrastructure support
- Hands-on experience with core networking technologies
- Experience in incident management and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams or initiatives
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to SDN technologies (e.g., Cisco ACI, SD-WAN)
- Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible)
- Experience in 24x7 operational environments
- Understanding of Agile or DevOps practices
Responsibilities
- Support network operations across routing, switching, SD-WAN, firewalls, and load balancing
- Participate in incident response and assist in resolving moderately complex issues
- Ensure adherence to incident, problem, and change management processes
- Lead a small team or functional area and coordinate work across teams
- Support automation, runbooks, and process improvement initiatives
- Monitor KPIs and contribute to operational reporting
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and vendor teams
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members
- Monitor operational metrics (e.g., incident volumes, resolution times, service stability indicators)
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including engineering, architecture, and product teams
- Interface with vendors and support partners as needed for issue resolution
- Communicate operational updates clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Assist in tracking team performance and identifying improvement opportunities
- Provide inputs into reporting and operational reviews
- Ensure adherence to processes and standards
- Identify and escalate risks

- Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives
- Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills
- Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met
- Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization
- Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain

- Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with the product management team and other stakeholders
