Biz Ops Lead

QuandriVancouver, BC
CA$100,000 - CA$140,000Remote

About The Position

Quandri is seeking an operator to help build and harden the operational backbone of a fast-scaling AI company, and to rebuild how that work gets done with AI at the center. The company is growing rapidly, and the increasing volume of contracts, compliance requirements, approvals, and internal workflows needs a plan to support current and future scale. This role requires someone who can model AI-native ways of working and bring others along. The position focuses on Operations but will also involve operational finance, legal, and AI ops work. The Biz Ops Lead will report to and partner closely with the Head of Finance & Operations, with autonomy over process design and adoption. The company is looking for a high-potential individual who can grow to own this function as the company scales.

Requirements

  • Sharp critical thinking and analytical skills to break down problems, find root causes, and solve them, with a systems-level thinking approach.
  • A track record of designing, building, and running operational processes, with knowledge of good operational hygiene.
  • Energized by AI, with active AI usage and a point of view on what works, and excitement to rebuild manual tasks in an AI-native way.
  • Comfort reviewing legal documents, understanding contracts and redlines, and spotting problematic terms without needing a lawyer.
  • Ability to embrace ambiguity and thrive without a playbook, with a proven track record of implementing the right level of structure without slowing the business down.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels, able to present compliance frameworks to leadership, explain AI workflows to engineers, and discuss contract terms with vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Startup experience
  • Hands-on SOC2 compliance experience
  • A JD or legal background

Responsibilities

  • Own business process design and adoption, building the operational scaffolding a scaling company needs by replacing tribal knowledge or duct tape with scalable systems and ensuring their actual use.
  • Drive change management by owning the rollout, training, and follow-through for new processes and tools, with support from an enablement team.
  • Handle first-pass review on vendor agreements, customer redlines, and negotiations, and maintain SOC 2 compliance. The goal is to build AI-assisted workflows and playbooks within approximately 6 months to make ~80% of this self-serve or automated, then move on to hardening other processes and building agentic workflows.
  • Support high-impact strategic projects that are cross-functional, such as pricing analysis, vendor consolidation business cases, GTM efficiency deep dives, or operational model builds.
  • Partner with teams to identify high-impact AI use cases, and roll out tooling and shared resources for practical and repeatable AI adoption, eventually designing and building agentic workflows that become the company's operational standard.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $100,000 - $140,000, dependent on level of experience
  • Employee stock options based on experience level
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including $500 Lifestyle Spending Account
  • Four weeks of paid vacation per year
  • Work anywhere in the world for 60 calendar days of the year
  • Parental leave top-ups: 6 months for birthing parents, 8 weeks for non-birthing parents (up to $100,000 annual salary)
