About The Position

American Girl is seeking a part-time, holiday seasonal Doll Hair Stylist to join its Retail Team. The role involves delivering friendly, informative customer service and styling doll hair according to company standards. The stylist supports customers with merchandise and salon service needs, shares product knowledge, and helps create a positive retail experience. The position requires flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and availability for a flexible retail schedule, including weekends.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Sales experience in specialty retail or the service industry.
• Experience styling hair, especially for dolls.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Approach, acknowledge, and assist customers promptly.
• Assess and meet customer merchandise and service needs, including special requests, and resolve customer problems.
• Share product knowledge, answer questions, and suggestively upsell Doll Hair Salon services and complementary products.
• Share information about store events, promotions, and activities with customers.
• Style doll hair according to company standards and demonstrate proper hair care and skin care techniques.
• Conduct inventory of salon supplies, stock the salon area, and communicate replenishment needs.
• Participate in Doll Hair Salon events, including Doll Hair Salon Spectaculars, hair demonstrations, and private birthday parties.
• Collaborate with co-workers to create a positive work environment and assist in training new associates.
