Amendment Consultant II

Fidelity Investments•Westlake, TX

About The Position

The Amendment Consultant II provides document and administrative support to clients and business partners who maintain an existing book of business of more than 23,000 plans. Using written procedures, the consultant makes decisions and independently coordinates with others regarding business policies, procedures, and documentation. The position requires knowledge of ERISA, Department of Labor regulations, and qualified plan rules under the Internal Revenue Code. The consultant interprets and applies these requirements, exercises independent judgment, and assists and instructs others on amendment-processing decisions. Supporting Emerging, Mid, and Advisor markets with volume submitter documents, the consultant partners closely with Client Relationship Management to complete more than 20,000 amendments annually. The role develops solutions for standardized, lower-complexity plan amendments and has authority to make decisions on assigned amendment projects. The consultant signs on behalf of Fidelity Management Trust Company (FMTC) and must understand the significance of that representation. The Amendment Consulting Team maintains existing client volume submitter plan documents and service agreement contracts, controls updates, and ensures that WI Defined Contribution Recordkeeping systems align with plan provisions. As an amendment expert for WI Core market clients, the consultant works with Managing Directors and clients to ensure amendments meet client objectives and are executed as directed. The role also coordinates with Managing Directors, Testing and Reporting, Systems Installation Group, Billing, and Conversion Services to ensure plan provisions work seamlessly with Fidelity services once implemented.
