About The Position

The Ambassador is the initial, positive contact point for patient, visitor, and customer encounters at the facility. The role performs basic office procedures, telephone and face-to-face customer communications, and other clerical duties. Ambassadors are stationed at specific hospital entrances to provide a warm, professional, and friendly greeting to people entering the building. The position is scheduled for 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Requirements

• Applicable experience: less than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the visitor policy, including masking requirements.
• Ensure necessary personal protective equipment is accessible to people entering the building at various entrances.
• Provide information and directions to patients and visitors at an information desk.
• Locate patients on the computer and provide visitors with clear, concise information and directions using oral and written communication.
• Receive patient belongings or deliveries, log and document them, and ensure they are delivered in a timely manner.
• Assist visitors with escorts to specific destinations when needed and maintain strong knowledge of the facility layout.
• Answer incoming phone calls and take necessary action.
