About The Position

The AM Supervisor directs the staff and students on the assigned shift and manages activities on the unit. The role includes supporting residential lead supervisors with hiring, orienting and training mentors, conducting weekly policy and procedure training, and supervising mentor performance. The supervisor also coordinates staff assignments, student activities and appointments, medication administration when an RN is absent, security procedures, admissions tasks, and emergency responses. The position performs mentor responsibilities as needed and communicates with the AM Campus Supervisor.

Requirements

At least one year of experience in behavioral-health-related fields.
Exceptional relationship skills.
Flexibility and ability to handle many situations simultaneously.
Ability to maintain healthy boundaries with subordinates.
Exceptional organizational skills and systems.
Prior Telos experience.

Responsibilities

Assist residential lead supervisors with interviewing and hiring mentors for the shift.
Orient and train new mentor hires.
Hold weekly training meetings for shift mentors on Telos policies and procedures.
Discipline and reward mentors on the shift.
Assign staff to conduct Q15-minute checks and coordinate scheduled activities and appointments.
Receive training in medication administration according to Telos policies and procedures, and administer doctor-ordered medications in the absence of an RN.
Execute the run plan according to policy and procedure.
Direct staff and students in emergency situations.
Accept and transcribe verbal orders from clinical employees.
Search students upon admission, after off-campus passes, and when they return from running away.
Complete student admission checklists within 10 days of admission and complete student security information upon admission.
Enforce Telos security and visitation policies and procedures.
Obtain a daily unit student-to-staff census.
Attend weekly treatment meetings or assign a shift member to represent the supervisor when unable to attend.
Train mentors on various assignments in the academy.
Attend the weekly shift supervisor meeting and weekly training in morning supervisor correlation meetings.
Communicate and report to the AM Campus Supervisor.
Perform all mentor responsibilities as needed (PRN).
Conduct quarterly performance evaluations for mentors on the shift.
