About The Position

Circa 1886 is currently searching for a full time Breakfast Line Cook/Prep Cook. We are a fine dining restaurant and having a background in this environment or upscale catering work is important to this position along with a good knowledge of Hors d'Oeuvres, Sauce Making and Plated Breakfasts. The ideal candidate must keep a level head, be able to accept constructive criticism, love cooking and take great pride in his or her ingredients/station.

Requirements

• Background in fine dining or upscale catering
• Good knowledge of Hors d'Oeuvres, Sauce Making and Plated Breakfasts
• Ability to keep a level head
• Ability to accept constructive criticism
• Passion for cooking
• Pride in ingredients/station
• Able to stand and work continuously in confined spaces for long periods of time.
• Able to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, and pull heavy equipment for long periods of time (50lbs or more).
• Able to perform all duties in extreme temperature ranges.
• Must possess sufficient dexterity to use all kitchen equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Culinary degree is preferred

Responsibilities

• Two shifts per week will be 6am-2pm as breakfast cook and three shifts per week will be prep cook.
• Must be willing to work weekends.
• Must be able to demonstrate good knife skills
• Must be able to execute breakfast dishes to standards set by Executive Chef
• Must be detail oriented
