About The Position

The AM Laundry Attendant sorts soiled linen, collects dirty linen from Food & Beverage outlets and banquets, and operates laundry equipment to process linens and specialty items. The role stacks clean items into bins or trucks for delivery to guest room floors and Food & Beverage areas, maintains departmental cleanliness and organization, follows safety and sanitation regulations, and inspects linens for spots, tears, and stains.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand at a workstation for up to 7 hours per shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds often throughout the shift.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch regularly.
• Must be able to understand and follow directions in the spoken language of the work area.
• Must be able to travel to various areas of the hotel to pick up and deliver linen items within the allotted time.

Responsibilities

• Sort dirty linen from the laundry chute for processing.
• Pick up dirty linen from Food & Beverage outlets and banquets.
• Operate washers, dryers, ironers, and towel folders.
• Stack clean items in laundry bins or trucks for delivery to guest room floors or Food & Beverage areas.
• Operate smaller washers and dryers to process specialty items or guest requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department.
• Follow safety and sanitization regulations as instructed by OSHA and Omni Hotels & Resorts.
• Inspect linens for spots, tears, and stains.
