About The Position

The aluminum welder position is responsible for MIG welding aluminum and steel on a variety of trucking parts in a manufacturing environment, under the supervision and direction of the department production supervisor. This role requires performing aluminum and steel welding operations to support the production floor, detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Familiarity with welding and fabrication concepts, as well as the ability to operate a forklift and weld a finished product, are essential.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of manufacturing-related experience.
  • 2-3 years of aluminum welding in a production environment.
  • Strong ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of safety and quality processes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs aluminum and steel welding operations to support the production floor.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the team lead and department supervisor.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Must be familiar with welding & fabrication concepts in order to perform the tasks stated above.
  • Must be able to operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift.
  • Must be able to weld a finished product.
