About The Position

Hexcel is seeking an Aluminum Hobe Sawyer for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. This position is responsible for operating an aluminum HOBE saw to cut slices with very tight tolerances and varying thickness, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and work center instructions. The role involves using various measuring tools for inspection, reviewing specifications to meet customer requirements, and utilizing a computer for data entry and MRP transactions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience required preferably in manufacturing.
  • Must be proficient in use of tape measure and ruler.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Eligible candidate must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience in the Hexcel Casa Grande facility may substitute in lieu of one year experience.
  • Previous Hexcel experience preferred.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer data entry function preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates aluminum HOBE saw to cut slices with very tight tolerance and varying thickness.
  • Sets up, and through process instructions, cuts aluminum core to thickness of customer specifications and in compliance with work center and router instructions.
  • Utilizes a tape measure, dial caliper, 6" rule and micrometer to inspect core.
  • Uses visual inspections and sales order review specification list to ensure product meets customer specifications.
  • Uses a computer and calculator to compute and enter data for MRP transactions.

Benefits

  • Start rate: $27.03 Per Hour during the New Hire Orientation Period – normally 90 calendar days, then increases to $29.15 Per Hour.
  • $1.75 per hour shift premium for Grave shift.
