Some travel to other local clinical sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree unless otherwise required by accreditation agency.
  • Minimum 4 years relevant work experience required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to meet all relevant qualifications for Program Coordinator as required for Program Accreditation.
  • Credentials in specialty and in good standing with pertinent regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all aspects of the education program to assure compliance with accreditation agency, college, and clinical affiliates.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates curriculum content and structure in accordance with accreditation and College standards.
  • Assures curriculum development in accordance with the mandates of the accrediting agency and college.
  • Assesses the quality of education and implements solutions to improve program education. Reassesses solutions to determine effectiveness.
  • Develops policies and procedures consistent with accreditation requirements for all phases of student education.
  • Provides academic advisement and counseling as needed to students during all phases of the educational program.
  • Provides instruction (clinical, didactic or laboratory) to students enrolled in the program and to members of the healthcare team.
  • Monitors student records to assure consistency with accreditation requirements and College policy.
  • Manages operating and capital budget.
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
