About The Position

The Manager, Program Services, Clinics & Allied Health at West Park Healthcare Centre is a replacement position responsible for providing administrative and clinical leadership to multidisciplinary teams. This role focuses on creating an environment of continuous learning, facilitating safe and high-quality patient-centered care, and fostering a collaborative, inter-professional, and accountable environment. The position involves coordinating day-to-day resource utilization, facilitating seamless transitions across the healthcare continuum, and overseeing the development of innovative services and continuous quality improvement. Fiscal planning, accountability, and fostering an environment for education and research are also key aspects of this role. The Manager will provide leadership for operating initiatives and program goals to meet strategic directions in partnership with Clinical and Medical Directors.

Requirements

  • A Baccalaureate degree in a regulated health profession (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing) required
  • Completion of a recognized Master’s Degree in a related field required
  • Membership/certification from an RHPA College in Ontario required
  • Proven change management skills combined with the ability to work with and through others
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Working knowledge of labour/management practices
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with effective negotiation skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and solution-focused skills
  • Ability to work effectively, demonstrate composure under pressure/stressful conditions
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Outlook applications

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a clinical manager is preferred
  • Greater than five (5) years of relevant experience in a clinical practice capacity preferred
  • Experience with inpatient, outpatient, and community based programs and services is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clinical leadership to multidisciplinary teams
  • Create an environment of continuous learning; engaging staff, patient and families in continuous improvement
  • Facilitate the delivery of safe, high quality, patient-centred care to patients
  • Foster an environment that is collaborative, inter professional and accountable, partnering with patients and caregivers
  • Coordinate and be accountable for the day-to-day utilization of resources to achieve the service's goals
  • Facilitate seamless transitions between inpatient, outpatient and the community, spanning the entire health care continuum
  • Oversee and develop innovative services, e.g. new models of care, continuous process and quality improvement
  • Fiscal planning and accountability
  • Foster an environment that facilitates education and research
  • Provide leadership for operating initiatives, program goals and objectives to meet strategic directions in partnership with the Clinical and Medical Directors of the programs.
