Reporting to the Practice Consultant, Allied Health and receiving direction from the Director Allied Health and Interprofessional Practice, the Practice Educator is responsible for providing clinical education, training, and mentorship across all PHC sites. This role involves planning, developing, and evaluating clinical education programs and learning resources. The Practice Educator works closely with the allied health and interprofessional team and leaders to assess, validate, and refine allied health and interprofessional competencies by identifying skill gaps, determining learning needs, and co-creating professional development plans. They provide individual and group education, mentorship, and clinical practice support for allied health staff to ensure safe, competent care for patients, residents, and their families. Additionally, the role leverages clinical experience, teaching, and coaching skills to facilitate continuous learning and professional development for both novice and experienced clinicians, and provides input on and supports professional, quality improvement, and clinical practice initiatives.
