About The Position

This role involves preparing menu items as directed, maintaining quality food production standards, and ensuring safe and sanitary working conditions. The cook will prepare both hot and cold food items for various stations and will operate all equipment safely. The position also requires adherence to all company rules and regulations, as well as maintaining safety, sanitation, and health code standards. Other related duties may be assigned by the Executive Chef/Sous Chef/Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have had progressively responsible experience as a production cook, gained through apprenticeship or on-the-job training at a comparable food service facility
  • Must have basic working knowledge of food service health codes and standards
  • Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work
  • Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance
  • Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees
  • Must be a member in good standing of the local Union or be willing to become a member of Unite Here! Local 2
  • Employment is contingent upon new employees providing documents verifying U.S. citizenship or, for aliens, documents verifying legal permission to work in the United States
  • Final candidates will be required to undergo a background check

Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items as directed on Production Sheet
  • Follow recipes and menu as outlined by Catering by Legends Global standard recipe book or as directed
  • Maintain quality food production standards of Catering By Legends Global
  • Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions and environment
  • Prepare hot food items for any or all of the work stations, including but not limited to; Fry/Sauté Station; Broiler/Roast Station; Breakfast Station; Stock, Soups, Sauces Station; and others as assigned
  • Prepare cold food items including but not limited to; salads, sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres, as instructed by Production Sheet or Manager
  • Follows all rules and regulations of Catering by Legends Global
  • Safely operates all equipment used at the location
  • Maintains safety, sanitation, and health code standards
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Executive Chef/Sous Chef/ Manager/Supervisor
