Alignment /Tire Technician
About The Position
Rusnak Auto Group is seeking an Alignment/Tire Technician for its BMW dealership in Westlake. The role contributes to the success of the company by repairing vehicles effectively, efficiently, correctly, safely, and promptly while upholding professional integrity and meeting individual proficiency-rate goals and franchise objectives. Compensation is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level. The technician uses manufacturer-recommended diagnostic and repair processes, verifies completed repairs, and clearly communicates repair causes and actions. The position also involves maintaining current technical and brand knowledge, complying with company and regulatory procedures, pursuing required certifications, supporting positive client relationships, exemplifying company and manufacturer standards, and helping maintain a safe, organized workplace.
Requirements
- Automotive alignment or similar industry certification is required.
- Current California driver's license with a satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicles driving record is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience as an alignment technician or in a similar automotive-industry position is desired.
Responsibilities
- Use manufacturer-recommended diagnostic and repair processes to repair vehicles safely and correctly.
- Seek clarification or management input when a client concern, objective, or appropriate course of action is unclear.
- Verify that repairs resolve the reported concern and clearly explain the cause and corrective steps taken.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with company, manufacturer, and applicable local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Read, interpret, and perform work based on complex technical documents.
- Participate in setting personal performance targets and organize work and tools to minimize damage or loss.
- Pass and maintain required certification testing.
- Provide courteous, clear, professional communication and service to internal and external clients, responding promptly and helping build lasting business relationships.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance and conduct work ethically in accordance with company and manufacturer standards.
- Pursue professional development and maintain current job and product knowledge.
- Work efficiently during peak periods and meet the Rusnak Standard.
- Follow company health and safety processes, use personal protective equipment when required, and keep the work area safe, neat, and organized.
- Promptly correct or report hazards and unsafe work conditions.
- Interact respectfully with clients, employees, vendors, and associates; adapt to changing needs and assist others to meet client requests and business demand.
