About The Position

Rusnak Auto Group is seeking an Alignment/Tire Technician for its BMW dealership in Westlake. The role contributes to the company’s success by repairing vehicles effectively, efficiently, correctly, safely, and on time, while maintaining professional integrity and meeting individual proficiency-rate and franchise goals. Compensation is $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level.

The technician uses manufacturer-recommended diagnostic and repair processes, verifies that repairs resolve the reported concern, and clearly communicates the cause and corrective work. The position requires maintaining current technical and brand-specific knowledge, following applicable company, manufacturer, and regulatory procedures, and working from complex technical documents. The technician also supports client satisfaction, safe and organized work practices, professional development, and effective teamwork.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as an alignment technician or in a similar automotive-industry position is desired.
• Certification in automotive alignment or a similar automotive-industry position is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Current California driver license with a satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicles driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicles effectively, efficiently, correctly, safely, and on time, following manufacturer-recommended diagnostic and repair processes.
• Seek clarification or management input when a client’s concern, objective, or appropriate course of action is unclear.
• Verify that each repair resolves the concern and clearly communicate its cause and the steps taken to correct it.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with applicable company, manufacturer, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations; continue learning brand-specific information.
• Read, interpret, and perform work based on complex technical documents.
• Participate in setting personal performance targets, set challenging goals, and organize work and tools to minimize damage or loss.
• Pass and remain current on required certification testing.
• Listen and communicate courteously, professionally, clearly, and accurately to identify client needs and support client understanding and relationships.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance, and represent the company and manufacturer brands respectfully, honestly, and ethically.
• Seek opportunities to develop organizational, communication, negotiation, job, and product knowledge.
• Work efficiently during peak periods while meeting “The Rusnak Standard.”
• Follow company health and safety processes, avoid creating hazards, promptly correct or report unsafe conditions, use personal protective equipment when required, and keep the work area safe, neat, and organized.
• Interact respectfully and professionally with clients, employees, vendors, and associates; maintain a positive attitude, adapt to changes, take on tasks outside routine duties, and assist others to meet client requests and business needs.
