About The Position

The Albert Schweitzer Institute Program Intern will work closely with the Faculty Director to develop new programs and initiatives, help expand and manage current Institute initiatives and programs, and assist in organizing Institute events. The intern will also attend Open Houses, class events, and other speaking opportunities with the Faculty Director, and develop social media content and promotional materials for programs and events. Depending on the intern's interests, they will work closely with the Faculty Director to integrate their academic or experiential knowledge with the goals of the Institute, such as through the creation of new programs.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take responsibility for projects
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong writing and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong understanding and working knowledge of the Albert Schweitzer Institute, its history, mission, and current breadth of programs
  • Work closely with the Faculty Director to develop new programs and initiatives
  • Help expand and manage current Institute initiatives and programs
  • Assist in organizing Institute events
  • Attend Open Houses, class events, and other speaking opportunities with the Faculty Director
  • Develop social media content and promotions materials for programs and events
  • Integrate academic or experiential knowledge with the goals of the Institute through the creation of new programs, based on intern's interests
