About The Position

The Albert Schweitzer Institute Program Intern will gain a deep understanding of the Institute's history, mission, and programs. This role involves working closely with the Faculty Director to develop and manage new and existing programs and initiatives. The intern will also be responsible for organizing events, representing the Institute at various functions, and creating social media content and promotional materials. A unique aspect of this internship is the opportunity for the student to integrate their academic or experiential knowledge with the Institute's goals, potentially by creating new programs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong understanding and working knowledge of the Albert Schweitzer Institute, its history, mission, and current breadth of programs
  • Work closely with the Faculty Director to develop new programs and initiatives
  • Help expand and manage current Institute initiatives and programs
  • Assist in organizing Institute events
  • Attend Open Houses, class events, and other speaking opportunities with the Faculty Director
  • Develop social media content and promotions materials for programs and events
  • Integrate academic or experiential knowledge with the goals of the Institute through the creation of new programs, based on intern interests.
