About The Position

The Aisles Online Pickup Clerk ensures online grocery orders are accurately gathered, stored at appropriate temperatures, and loaded into customers’ vehicles for a fast, friendly pickup experience. The position involves customer service, order fulfillment, payment processing, and supporting other department tasks as needed. The role is based primarily in a retail store and requires working in a fast-paced environment with pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen.

Night and weekend shifts are required.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs throughout the store.
Gather orders, store them at the proper temperature, and retrieve them promptly before customers arrive.
Ensure products maintain proper temperatures throughout the fulfillment process.
Cart orders to the holding area for customer pickup.
Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles.
Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones as needed.
Tender customer orders through the point-of-sale system and process credit card payments.
Substitute products upon customer request or when items are unavailable.
Answer phones and emails promptly and provide helpful customer service.
Follow Hy-Vee’s dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
Assist with other tasks or special projects as needed.
