About The Position

The Aisles Online Pickup Clerk supports Hy-Vee’s online grocery program by gathering customer orders accurately, storing them at the proper temperatures, and loading them into customers’ vehicles for pickup. The role focuses on providing a fast, friendly customer experience while maintaining product quality throughout fulfillment. It requires staying active, working independently, and managing tasks in a deadline-driven retail environment. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen.

Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning and sanitation duties.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs throughout the store.
Gather customer orders, store them at the proper temperature, and retrieve them promptly before customer arrival.
Maintain proper product temperatures throughout the fulfillment process.
Cart orders to and place them in the holding area for customer pickup.
Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles.
Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones as needed.
Tender customer orders through the POS and process credit card payments.
Substitute products at customers’ request or when items are unavailable.
Answer phones and emails promptly and provide friendly, helpful customer service.
Follow Hy-Vee’s dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
Assist with other tasks or special projects as they arise.
