Aisles Online Clerk
About The Position
The Aisles Online Clerk selects, scans, bags, and organizes online grocery orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring items are fresh, properly stored, and ready for customer pickup. The role supports a seamless customer experience by maintaining appropriate product temperatures throughout fulfillment, monitoring incoming orders, and completing them promptly. The clerk also assists customers in the store and by phone, processes customer payments, and helps load groceries into vehicles as needed. This is a fast-moving position requiring attention to detail, organization, dependability, and effective management of multiple tasks.

- Work independently and complete daily workloads with limited supervision.
- Maintain strong attention to detail in order selection, temperature management, and order accuracy.
- Frequently stand and walk throughout a shift.
- Perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning and sanitation duties.
- Complete a pre-employment drug screen successfully.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs in the store.
- Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones accurately and efficiently.
- Tender customer orders through POS and process credit card payments.
- Store gathered orders at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly before customer arrival.
- Ensure products maintain proper temperature throughout fulfillment.
- Cart orders to and place them in the holding area for customer pickup.
- Load groceries into customer vehicles as needed.
- Monitor incoming online orders to ensure prompt, on-time fulfillment.
- Substitute products at customers' request or when items are unavailable.
- Answer the phone promptly and provide helpful customer service.
- Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
- Assist with other tasks or special projects as needed.
