About The Position

The Aisles Online Clerk selects, scans, bags, and organizes online grocery orders with accuracy and care. The role ensures items are fresh, stored at the proper temperature, and ready for customer pickup. Clerks support a seamless pickup experience by providing friendly customer service, completing transactions, monitoring order fulfillment, and helping load groceries into customer vehicles as needed. The work takes place primarily in a retail store and requires staying organized and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs when interacting in the store.
• Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones accurately and efficiently.
• Tender customer orders through the point-of-sale system and process credit card payments.
• Store gathered orders at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly before customers arrive.
• Ensure products maintain proper temperature throughout the fulfillment process.
• Cart orders to the holding area for customer pickup.
• Load groceries into customer vehicles as needed.
• Monitor incoming online orders to support prompt, on-time fulfillment.
• Substitute products at customers’ request or when items are unavailable.
• Answer the phone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to callers.
• Follow Hy-Vee’s dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
• Assist with other tasks or special projects as needed.
