About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a government airport location in Lihue, Hawaii. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, and provide customer service and communication to travelers, airport personnel, visitors, and other stakeholders. The role follows site-specific policies and procedures and responds to emergencies and other critical events as appropriate. The position pays $26.50 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Duties include patrolling airport facilities, monitoring restricted-area access, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting and reporting observations and concerns.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Valid driver's license; the posting specifies one or more years.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening, including a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
A drug screen is required to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in accordance with established airport and site-specific protocols.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to supervisors and designated site contacts.
