About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Airport Security Officer for an unarmed patrol position at a government airport in Lihue, Hawaii. The role involves providing customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and contractors while following security procedures and site-specific policies. Officers conduct patrols, monitor airport areas and access points, respond professionally to incidents, and document observations. The stated schedule is Tuesdays and Saturdays, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $26.50 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license; the listing specifies at least one year.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations, notifying airport personnel or emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and assigned areas, reporting policy violations, hazards, and unusual conditions according to site procedures.
Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated personnel.
