As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols of airport areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to travelers and staff. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 21+ years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access to designated areas and assist with directing visitors, vendors, and personnel in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with airport stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.
