As an Airport Security Officer: Wednesday/Thursday in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 18+ years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or government representatives while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required communications in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
