About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Airport Security Officer: Dispatch/CCTV in Kahului, Hawaii, at a government airport location. The role serves and safeguards airport clients and the public through monitoring, unarmed patrols, access-control support, alarm response, and clear documentation. The officer provides customer service to passengers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders while following site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities. The first two months involve working various posts to become familiar with the airport property and its geography. This is a full-time position paying $28.75 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
At least one year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring.
At least one year of airport security experience.
At least one year of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years old, as specified in the role requirements.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
Must be able to obtain an AOA badge, including a federal background check in accordance with DOT requirements.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badge systems.

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Experience with alarm panels.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders while following site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established post orders and notification procedures.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorization when assigned, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate observations to supervisors and designated airport representatives.
Monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and help deter security-related incidents.
Respond to alarms and use technology to document observations.
