About The Position

As an Airport Security Officer: Friday/Saturday, Morning Shift in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 18+ years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of airport terminals, curbside areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and site procedures.
  • Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications for supervisors and relevant personnel.
