As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff. Requirements
- Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
- 1+ years of Security Experience
- 21+ years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
