About The Position

As a Security Officer Airport Patrol Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to airport passengers, visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public spaces, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding perimeter, with working conditions that may vary by location.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate airport personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with airport operations personnel, law enforcement, and emergency responders.
