About The Position

As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Professional at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and support visitors with professional communication. You will use sound judgment and teamwork while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture, always acting with integrity.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and/or airport personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned airport facilities, public areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards; report observations and incidents according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate airport personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation while following applicable government and airport regulations.
