As a Security Officer Access Management in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor site activity, and assist with maintaining an orderly environment. Through visible presence, routine patrols, clear communication, and exceptional customer service, you will help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, authorizing visitor and vendor entry, and maintaining accurate access records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, warehouse operations, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, drivers, visitors, and delivery personnel while supporting orderly traffic flow and compliance with site access requirements.
