Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, truck, and incident records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, access control concerns, and policy violations to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
