Airport Ramp Agent FT - ALB
About The Position
Unifi is seeking Airport Ramp Agents to support airline ground services at Albany International Airport. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. The role helps aircraft and passengers reach their destinations safely by marshalling aircraft, handling baggage and cargo, operating ramp equipment, and performing related aircraft and cabin servicing duties. Employees may also perform de-icing, inspections, and hazard checks. The position requires working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, and working outdoors in potentially severe seasonal weather.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs requirements.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be able to frequently lift more than 70 pounds and constantly lift up to 70 pounds.
- Must be able to constantly push and pull up to 70 pounds, and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, and bend.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Must be able and open to work outdoors in weather that may include severe seasonal elements.
Responsibilities
- Marshall arriving, departing, and towed aircraft on the ramp.
- Perform wing walker duties to protect aircraft wings from equipment during pushback and de-ice aircraft as required.
- Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts.
- Operate ramp equipment, including bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.
- Perform assigned cabin service duties, which may include servicing the aircraft, cleaning lavatories and the cabin, and restocking supplies.
- Adhere to safety procedures and policies and complete work in a safe and secure manner according to company safety and operational standards.
- Immediately report safety and security incidents and potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned within the skills, experience, and capabilities expected for the position.
